Model PTS25 Programmable Temperature Switch™ is of very compact design featuring built-in programmable electronics. Sensing element is a PT100 ohm RTD, installed at the tip of the probe. The PTS’s electronics are hermetically sealed in a miniature stainless steel housing at the termination of the probe. One piece stainless steel welded construction consisting of probe, housing and fitting, makes the PTS25 highly to shock and vibration resistant. Adjustable compression fittings are also available. As such the PTS25 can replace other commonly used temperature switches, such as Bi-Metallic, in a variety of applications where power is available. Compared to mechanical switches, the PTS25 is far more accurate and flexible.
The PTS25 is available with relay switching outputs, whose functions can be defined as either N/C or N/O. Switching points, alarm types, normal or failsafe mode, and time delay are all programmed by the factory to client specifications. Standard accuracy is to 1 º C of switching point or better. An optional 4-20mA output is also available. Electrical connection is a M12 connector. Other connectors and terminations are available; consult fac-tory.
