The R48 all teflon temperature sensors are virtually inert to all chemicals. The stainless steel core probe is PFA clad and the tip heat-welded closed. Heavy duty PTFE extruded probe is also available for most demanding applications The PTFE adaptor seals the probe with an Oring and it is encapsulated with rigid potting material and thus is hermetically sealed. Standard output is Pt100 ohm RTD but many other types are available such as 4-20mA, voltage, thermocouple, thermistor and as a switch. The model R48 is inert to virtually all chemical regents offer the highest performance for the most demanding temperature measurement applications.
The model R48 is also available with relay switching outputs, whose functions can be defined as either N/C or N/O. Switching points, alarm types, normal or failsafe mode, and time delay are all programmed by the factory to client specifications. Standard accuracy is to 1°C of switching point or better. An optional 4-20mA output is also available. Standard electrical connection is using a M12 connector. Other connectors and terminations are available; consult factory.
